The House
01B
House Structure
Parent House → Gucci fashion/leather-goods scope. Creative-director eras remain within the same Gucci House.
No conventional diffusion/sub-label hierarchy is asserted in the current Sui Generis Gucci guide scope. Future historical/licensed lines should be added only when individually substantiated.
Ready-to-wear, leather goods, bags, shoes, jewelry, watches, décor and other categories under the Gucci parent house.
Current authentication guide treats Gucci as the main House rather than a diffusion-label hierarchy.
Label / logo: House branding and labels evolve by era/category; collection context is more useful than assuming a secondary-line rule.
Identifiers: Gucci style/product references and historical bag codes vary by category and era; they do not define separate sub-brands.
Collection relationship: Women’s and men’s collections sit under the Gucci House and share the brand archive.
Parent: Gucci
Women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, bags, shoes and accessories.
Same parent Gucci brand; this entry clarifies guide scope rather than asserting a separate consumer sub-label.
Label / logo: Creative-director and collection-era changes can produce legitimate label and material variation.
Identifiers: Use exact collection/model and product-reference evidence; do not infer “sub-brand” from an unfamiliar legitimate label treatment.
Collection relationship: Collection archive groups women’s/men’s fashion under Gucci chronology.

Private Analysis
Upload the complete tag evidence or enter the visible code exactly. The private Sui Generis server returns only a bounded result or unknown / insufficient evidence.
Sui Generis Intelligence
Add the label evidence available on the item. For clothing, a brand or neck label can support a bounded product result while care/product labels can supply visible size, origin, materials and identifiers. Up to four photos can be analyzed together.
Add up to four label photos. For clothing, include the brand/neck label and the care/product label when available; front and back tag photos can be analyzed together. The storefront does not save the selected photos.
Optional: identify each photo as a Brand / neck label, Care / product label, or Code / stamp. This helps Sui Generis Intelligence keep line identity separate from production and care information.
Results only
If the private server cannot support a result, the analyzer returns unknown rather than guessing.

Collection Chronology
Demna, design-studio transitions, Sabato De Sarno and late Alessandro Michele. Co-ed/mirrored archive routes are deduplicated so each distinct collection appears once.
Frida Giannini through Alessandro Michele. Fall 2017 marks the move to a combined men's and women's main runway presentation; later co-ed seasons are stored once.
Tom Ford through the Facchinetti/John Ray transition and Frida Giannini. Resort/Cruise naming is normalized to the Vogue season year.
Continuous public runway chronology used by this archive begins Fall 1995. Earlier season rows are not inferred from general house history.

Authentication Guide
The Metropolitan Museum of Art records a Gucci ensemble designed by Tom Ford for Fall/Winter 1996–97. Use it to verify collection date and silhouette—not to infer every label used that year.
Open museum recordLACMA records a Gucci dress-and-belt ensemble by Frida Giannini for Fall/Winter 2006–07. This is a firm collection anchor for material, silhouette and designer period.
Open museum recordMichele’s Gucci period began in 2015 and is a key anchor for deliberate archival revivals, decorative labels and collection-specific treatments. Use the exact collection rather than reading an ornate label as automatically vintage.
Open official historyDe Sarno’s tenure forms a short, distinct modern period between Michele and the 2025 studio transition. Compare labels, product references and silhouettes to the exact Ancora-era collection rather than extending Michele-era assumptions forward.
Open official historyKering appointed Demna as Gucci Artistic Director starting in early July 2025. La Famiglia and the collections that follow establish a new era; compare current labels, construction and references against Demna-era collection records rather than earlier house assumptions.

Family Intelligence
Bag-family names describe a design system, not one universal serial number. Sizes, materials, colors and seasonal revisions receive different style/article strings. Use the family silhouette and hardware first; then match the complete code to the exact variant.
Introduced in 1947
Signature: Hand-shaped bamboo top handle; structured top-handle construction; some current versions include a bamboo closure and mirror holder.
Identifier note: Current variants use an interior brand stamp and style/article references; vintage placement and format vary.

Frequently Asked Questions
No. A matching code can identify a product record or expose a contradiction, but the physical label, materials, construction, hardware, dimensions and era must also agree.
Not through a universal public consumer formula. Treat it as a production, lot or supplier-related reference unless a documented system for that exact era proves more.
No. That is a recurring documented pattern on many 1990s and early-2000s garments, not an all-item rule. Compare the full label set and garment to the correct collection.
No universal rule supports that claim. Some labels and product records can help date a piece, but the interpretation must be confirmed against the complete code, collection, runway or official product record.
No. Gucci states that its Authenticity Tag is available only on selected items from the latest collections. Its absence on another product—especially a vintage item—is not automatically a red flag.
No. Boxes, cards, receipts and dust bags can be swapped or copied. They support provenance only when the object itself is coherent.
